Excited to say, I’ve got a new painting (the lamp one) underway. I’m well into the underpainting. (I decided to go traditional and use raw umber and ultramarine blue for that.)

The latest episode of the Learn to Paint podcast with Mark Eanes was a great lesson on colour. Although I’m still struggling with this, I found this article from Seattle Artist League on blocking in helpful. Some good example images.
