Krista Harris interview (with Nicholas Wilton)

Thoroughly enjoyed this interview with Krista Harris. I’m slowly starting to understand where abstract artists are coming from. I intend to make an abstract piece soon—maybe even tomorrow.

Yes, that’s what I’ve come to understand from all the videos I’ve been watching. All the same things apply: colour, value, composition, atmosphere, depth, areas of interest—but you don’t have a subject to orient you with them. 🙂 I’m not sure pure abstraction is the direction I want to head in, but I at least want to explore it.

Thanks for your comment, Tauno!

Thanks, Tauno. I’ve seen one or two of his other videos. I’ll check that out. I actually really like representational painting that has quite a bit of abstraction it.

That was a great interview, I can totally relate to her thinking! I hadn’t heard of Krista before, and I have to admit I only started to watch the interview because she shares the same name as my cousin, but I am glad to discover her and her work, fantastic!
