Colour wheels

Colour wheels

I’ve been reading a bit about colour theory and had a go at creating my first colour wheels. The wheel on the left is based on my warm primaries, and the one on the right is based on my cool primaries. You can see I completely stuffed up some (most?) of the mixing, especially along the bottom of the right-hand wheel, where two of the colours look nearly black. But it was a worthwhile exercise, one I’ll revisit.

  1. I like the combination of art experimentation, journal, and candid self-commentary, Chris! Tuck in a small poem and/or a relevant quotation and you have an intriguing piece of mixed-discipline art that’s all the better for the “imperfections” of the color wheels. This piece of art communicates both energy and intimacy, and I really feel a connection with it! :- D
